Browns helped a single mother deal with her teenage son, who was at risk of exploitation. A single mother with…
At 48 years old Rob has been engaged with Browns since 2021. Despite being housed by the rough sleeper’s pathway, Rob still finds it difficult to make positive use of his time and is anxious about how much idle time he has. He regularly mentions that he is looking to make better use of his time and secure him self a job.
He has worked in the past, however, unfortunately that contract came to an end due to personal issues that interfered with his job role. This discouraged Rob as he thought he would not be given a second chance to attend the Browns 4E’s to employment workshop. Reminding Rob that we are here to support him and not penalise him, he was again linked in with the 4E’s workshop to ensure that he supported into finding new opportunities.
Once Rob has received his ID, he will be ready to look for work with the 4E’s to employment workshop. In the meantime he is exploring voluntary work, and has also been making voluntary payments to his housing provider to address his debt to get himself in a much better financial situation. Rob is continuing to engage with his support worker on a weekly basis and will continue to meet with an employment coach for 1-1 sessions. Rob has been working well with external agencies and professionals such as Cranstoun and GP, and has grown confidence in addressing his misuse of time.
